Mildred Marie Hudson, age 86 of Greenfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Adena Greenfield Medical Center.
She was born on Jan. 13, 1927, in Greenfield, Ohio, the daughter of Lester and Inez Marie (Washburn) Jenkins.
She retired from Derringer Vending Company where she filled vending machines at Johnson Controls of Greenfield for 30-plus years. She was a member of the Centerfield Friends Church also attended Greenfield Church of Christ in Christian Union, Southern Ohio Genealogy Society, Greenfield Historical Society, Waw- Wil-a-Way, Daughters of American Revolution, Greenfield Library Genealogy Club and Secret Sisters Club.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Edward (Joyce) Faulconer, Jr., Harold Dean (Patty) Faulconer and Jerry Michael (Jodi) Faulconer all of Greenfield; two daughters, Carol Jean (Marvin) Walker of South Salem and Helen Marie (Bill) Roe of Leesburg; one step-daughter, Lillian Losey of Wilmington; 15 grandchildren: Scott, Craig, Chad, Todd, Deana, Brad, Jeremy, Mike, Sunshine, Kelley, Jacob, Josh, Lyndsey, Lesley and Landry; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, including five sets of twins; two sisters, Beulah Jane Wells of Woodstock and Betty Swearingen of West Liberty; numerous nieces and nephews, including Janet Jenkins of Greenfield; numerous cousins, including Leona “Bug” Welch of Greenfield; a special friend, Minerva Seitz of Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Edward Faulconer whom passed away on April 9, 1975; second husband, Melvin Chapman Hudson whom passed away on Feb. 28, 1999; one step-son, Kenneth Hudson; three brothers, Homer Jenkins, Charles and Harold in infancy; two sisters, Mary Louise Jenkins and Elizabeth in infancy.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Roger Newkirk officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

William David “Bill” Buroker, 73, of West Liberty, passed away at 1:53 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at his home. He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on November 10, 1939 to the late Carl and Mary Louise Alcott Buroker. On July 31, 1966 he married the former Doris Rase in Powellsville, Ohio and she survives.
He is also survived by his four children, Scott (Missy) Buroker of Urbana, Gina (Shane) Boggs of West Liberty, Holly Buroker of Bellefontaine and Lisa (Steve) Tracey of Huntsville; six grandchildren, Logan Boggs, Allison Boggs, Lane Boggs, David Buroker, Drew Buroker and Kayla Tracey; two brothers, Robert Buroker of New York and John (Sharon) Buroker of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Joann Buroker.
Bill loved the life he spent farming, which was evidenced by his involvement and success within the farming community. He was a member of the Logan County Antique Power Association, Farm Bureau, American Dairy Goat Association, a former 4-H Advisor and a long-time member of the Logan County Fair Board. He was a 1957 graduate of West Liberty High School and a member of the United Church of Christ in West Liberty. Bill was an avid Ohio State fan who loved classic country music. He loved to garden, raise and show livestock, and took great pride and joy in the successful Hoanbu Dairy Goats family business. Above all, he loved his family.
Pastor Paul Forrey will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the West Liberty United Church of Christ in West Liberty. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 27th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Eichholtz-Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 101 Zanesfield Road, West Liberty and at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.
Memorial contributions may be made to the West Liberty United Church of Christ.

John Russell Polo, 74, of Lakeview, OH, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at his home.
John was born on May 28, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Russell L. & Sarilda Slemp Polo.
John is survived by two sons, Elgin F. (Elsa) Polo of Miami, FL and Russell L. (Trista) Polo of Poughkeepsie, NY, and three grandsons, John M. Polo, Ryan J. Polo, and Andrew N. Polo.
John was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked on the railroad for nearly 48 years in communications and signals for the Pennsylvania Railroad which later became Metro North and retired from Union Switch and Signal in Pittsburgh, PA. He enjoyed playing the banjo, and concertina, singing folk songs and camping. He loved visiting Indian Lake and upon retirement, moved to Indian Lake permanently.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 25, 2013 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview with visitation two hours prior. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, OH.

Charles K. (Chuck) Valentine, 77, of DeGraff, passed away at 10:17 a.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013.
Born on January 28, 1935, in Miami County, he was the son of the late Harry Valentine and Ethel (Calland) Everingham. He married Linda Brackney on December 19, 1989. She survives, as well as a stepson, Gene Schloss of Port Jefferson, and a sister, Doris (Bill) Dilbone of Houston.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Valentine, and nephew, Ron Valentine.
Chuck was a 1953 graduate of Harrison and Adams School in Rosewood and served in the United States Army. He was a carpenter. Chuck liked hunting, fishing, auto racing and mushroom hunting.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the United Methodist Church in Quincy.

David Eugene Shotts, 60, of Quincy, OH passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at his home.
David was born on March 26, 1952 in Logan County, OH to the late Tom & Ernestine Fraley Shotts. He was also preceded in death by his aunt, Mildred Nuss and uncle, Melvin Nuss.
On March 17, 1984, he married the former Debra Cron in Maplewood, OH and she survives along with two daughters, Heather Shotts of DeGraff, OH and Christina Shotts of Quincy, two grandsons, Keaton and Konnor, three sisters, Marilyn (Jeff) Plikerd of Belle Center, OH, Shirley (Fran) Darcy and Sharon Oats, both of Lakeview, OH and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
David was 1971 graduate of Indian Lake High School and also graduated from Diesel Tech Institute. He retired from Allied Systems in 2012 and formerly worked for Super Foods. He was a member and former youth leader of Maplewood United Methodist Church, and had been active with Awanas in Logansville, OH. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association, J. I. Case Collector’s Association, Logan County Poultry Committee and Teamsters. He enjoyed working on his tractors, hunting and shooting, reading, traveling and was a history enthusiast. A Christian father, grandpa and husband, he loved spending time with his family and taking his grandsons for rides on the tractor and golf cart.
Pastor Bill Halter will conduct funeral services beginning 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, OH. Visitation will be Saturday, February 23rd from 3-6 pm at the funeral home. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions can be given in his name to Maplewood United Methodist Church.
