Paul Eugene Wearly, 88, of Fort Thomas, KY, formerly of West Liberty, OH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2010.
Paul was raised in West Liberty, son of the late Reverend Robert and Ada Wearly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Wearly in 1986, brothers, Robert, Wilbur, Max and sisters Esther, Ruth, Dorothy, and Crystal.
Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. His focus in life was his family. He was a hard worker, enjoyed following baseball, basketball and playing golf, especially with his brothers and, later in life, with his grandsons. He will live in our hearts forever.
Paul is survived by his second wife, Ruth (Zint) Wearly of Fort Thomas, KY, his devoted daughters, Diana (Ken) Cain of Cincinnati, Rebecca (Mark) Yoder of Columbus, his beloved grandchildren Heather, Rob, Adam, Katie, Kimberly, ten great-grandchildren, his brothers, Keith (Marion) and John (Katie) Wearly, and many special nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the West Liberty United Church of Christ, 212 W. Newell St., West Liberty, OH 43357. 
The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 pm on Saturday at the church prior to the service, with the Reverend Grayson Atha officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the West Liberty United Church of Christ in West Liberty in Paul’s name.

James L. “Butch” Baughman, 64, of Lakeview, passed away October 19, 2010 near Belle Center, OH.
Butch was born on April 26, 1946 in Kenton, OH to the late James “Dick” & Betty J. Leffler Baughman. On March 12, 1964, he married the former Patty Weaver in Springfield, OH. He was preceded in death by a brother: Dick “Cuss” Baughman and two great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Patty, daughter: Cheryl Craig of Lakeview, son: Donnie (Daveanna) Baughman of Jackson Center, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two sisters: Phyllis Tudor of Pennsylvania, Annie (Wayne) McWilliams of Belle Center, five brothers: Von (Linda) Baughman of Kenton, Mick Baughman of Texas, Gary Baughman of Belle Center, Billy (Shelly) Baughman of Belle Center, and Mark Baughman of Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.
Butch was a US Army veteran. He retired from Nash Finch, Bellefontaine in 1999 after 33 years. He was a member of the National Geological Association. Butch enjoyed farming, fishing, trapping, hunting, hunting arrowheads, woodworking, small engine repair and loved Ohio State football and the Cincinnati Reds.
Pastor Virginia Stafford will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 25, 2010 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Visitation is Sunday, October 24th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center, OH with military rites performed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.

Robert E. “Bob” Taylor, 83, of Russells Point, OH, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 16, 2010, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born on December 8, 1926, in Stokes Twp, Logan Co., Ohio to the late Lester & Berylena Van Horn Taylor. On September 4, 1949, he married the former Dorothy Bowdle in the Indian Lake Community Church, Russells Point, and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by three daughters: Sue (Harry) Taylor, of Lakeview, OH, Kathy (Howard) Schwass, of Alabaster, AL, and Deb (Mel) Rotroff, of Lakeview, OH, Six grandchildren: Tonya (Kirby) Taylor, of Lake Havesue, AZ, Misty (Lou) Ross, of Russells Point, OH, Micah (Tresa) Rotroff, of Jackson Center, OH, Jon (Amber) Rotroff, of Lakeview, Miranda (Brian) Dietz, of Columbus, OH, and Robin (Ryan) Beelman, of Lewistown, OH, nine great grandchildren: Brandan Ross, Makenzie Taylor, Sieara Rotroff, Ethan Rotroff, Kailynn Rotroff, Ella Beelman, Garrison Rotroff, William Beelman, and Melanie Rotroff, two brothers: Dick (Linda) Taylor, Coldwater, MI, and Jim (Barb) Taylor, of Hallsville, Texas.
Bob attended Stokes Twp Schools before entering the U.S Army in 1945 where he served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He worked at the Lima State Hospital and Ford Engine Plant, both in Lima before moving to the Indian Lake area, where he drove bus for Indian Lake Schools where he retired. He was a member of the Indian Lake Community Church and formerly sang in the choir. He was a former member of the Loganaires and was a member of the Golden Agers. He enjoyed fishing, Bird watching, card playing, singing, playing harmonica, and telling jokes. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren.
Pastor Karen Blackburn will conduct funeral services at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Visitation is Tuesday, October 19th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Burial is in Roundhead Cemetery with military rites performed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be given in his name to the American Heart Association.

Darlene R. King, 62, of Lakeview, passed away Monday Afternoon, October 11, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH.
She was born on January 4, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Ray & Myrtle Conwell Holderman. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Holderman and close friend, Dorothy.
She is survived by a daughter: Mickey (Mark) Shoffner, of Lewistown, two sons: Rich (Shauna) Szima, of Lakeview, and Joe (Amber) King, of DeGraff, nine grandchildren: Danielle, Desiree`, Kandi, Matt, Chase, Cody, Alexa, Jacob, and Georgia, nine great grandchildren: Ethan, Jaylynn, Joelle, Madison, Izick, Kaylin, Audrey, Braydon, and Levi, and close friends and coworkers, Cathy and Vickie.
Darlene was a graduate of Fairview High School in Dayton. She was a member of the United Brethren Church. She worked at Heartland of Indian Lake and Bellefontaine for 26 years. She loved her pets, collected bells and porcelain dolls. Her kids and grandkids were always most important to her.
Brother Donnie Day will conduct funeral services at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Visitation is Friday, October 15th from 5-7 pm at Shoffstall Funeral Home. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery.

Carolyn Neer, 86, of Bellefontaine, went home to be with the Lord, following a short illness, on October 11, 2010 at the Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Logan County on November 11, 1923, a daughter of the late Chester and Gertrude (Rotroff) Cooper.
On December 6, 1942 she married Joe E. Neer and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1998. She also was preceded in death by brothers Richard and Ralph Cooper, and sisters, Juanita Detrick, Ruth Tanger, and Jane Stevenson.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie (Willard) Scheifele of Cable, Joan (Gary) Clayton of DeGraff; four sons, Max (Debbie) Neer of DeGraff, Roger (Robin) Neer of Powell and twin sons, Terry and Larry Neer of Zionsville, IN; sisters, Shirley Yoder of Goshen, IN, and Margaret Jones of Marblehead, OH; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
A 1942 Bellefontaine High School graduate, Carolyn was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. She was a member of the South Union Mennonite Church of 63 years, and most recently attended Calvary Baptist Church. She volunteered at Global Crafts and Green Hills in West Liberty.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, October 14th at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where the funeral service will begin at 11 am on Friday, October 15th with one hour of calling prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
