Donavon D. Gardner, 33, of Indian Lake, Ohio died Monday, October 25, 2010 at his residence in Columbus.
Donavon was born on March 12, 1977, in Kenton, OH to Greg (Cheryl) Gardner of Belle Center, and Connie Gardner of Columbus.
He is also survived by three daughters: Kirsten Gardner, Sarah Gardner, and McKayla Gardner, a sister: Katrina Predmore of Columbus, a brother: Michael Gardner of Columbus, and two stepsisters: Alicia Furby of Belle Center and Mindy Linet of DeGraff.
Donavon attended Indian Lake High School. 
He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing basketball and baseball. He loved being with his children.
Per his wishes, Mr. Gardner’s body was cremated. 
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Marion Anthony Vonderhuevel Sr., 79, of 111 Walker St., DeGraff, passed away on Oct. 21, 2010, at 5:25 p.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton.
He was born on July 30, 1931, in Logan County, to the late Albert and Francis Vonderhuevel.
On Nov. 18, 1951, he married Betty Ann Partington, who survives.
Also surviving are children, Vicki Oliver, of Bellefontaine, Linda (John) Baker, of St. Augustine, Fla., Jennie Vonderhuevel, of DeGraff, Carrie Sue Clark, of St. Augustine, Fla., Marion Anthony (Sherry) Vonderhuevel Jr., of Quincy; 19 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, sisters; Tina Strasser, of Anna, Carol Vorhees, of Piqua, Phyllis (Bill) Schindel, of Piqua.
Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Marion proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the Sidney American Legion Post 217. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sidney.
Marion retired from Stolle Corp. 
He loved working in his yard and decorating his yard for the holidays, especially Christmas.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with the Rev. David Chivington officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, DeGraff. There will be a full military service at the cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
All arrangements are entrusted to the friendly staff of Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road.

Paul Eugene Wearly, 88, of Fort Thomas, KY, formerly of West Liberty, OH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2010.
Paul was raised in West Liberty, son of the late Reverend Robert and Ada Wearly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Wearly in 1986, brothers, Robert, Wilbur, Max and sisters Esther, Ruth, Dorothy, and Crystal.
Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. His focus in life was his family. He was a hard worker, enjoyed following baseball, basketball and playing golf, especially with his brothers and, later in life, with his grandsons. He will live in our hearts forever.
Paul is survived by his second wife, Ruth (Zint) Wearly of Fort Thomas, KY, his devoted daughters, Diana (Ken) Cain of Cincinnati, Rebecca (Mark) Yoder of Columbus, his beloved grandchildren Heather, Rob, Adam, Katie, Kimberly, ten great-grandchildren, his brothers, Keith (Marion) and John (Katie) Wearly, and many special nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the West Liberty United Church of Christ, 212 W. Newell St., West Liberty, OH 43357. 
The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 pm on Saturday at the church prior to the service, with the Reverend Grayson Atha officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the West Liberty United Church of Christ in West Liberty in Paul’s name.

James L. “Butch” Baughman, 64, of Lakeview, passed away October 19, 2010 near Belle Center, OH.
Butch was born on April 26, 1946 in Kenton, OH to the late James “Dick” & Betty J. Leffler Baughman. On March 12, 1964, he married the former Patty Weaver in Springfield, OH. He was preceded in death by a brother: Dick “Cuss” Baughman and two great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Patty, daughter: Cheryl Craig of Lakeview, son: Donnie (Daveanna) Baughman of Jackson Center, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, two sisters: Phyllis Tudor of Pennsylvania, Annie (Wayne) McWilliams of Belle Center, five brothers: Von (Linda) Baughman of Kenton, Mick Baughman of Texas, Gary Baughman of Belle Center, Billy (Shelly) Baughman of Belle Center, and Mark Baughman of Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.
Butch was a US Army veteran. He retired from Nash Finch, Bellefontaine in 1999 after 33 years. He was a member of the National Geological Association. Butch enjoyed farming, fishing, trapping, hunting, hunting arrowheads, woodworking, small engine repair and loved Ohio State football and the Cincinnati Reds.
Pastor Virginia Stafford will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 25, 2010 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Visitation is Sunday, October 24th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center, OH with military rites performed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.

Robert E. “Bob” Taylor, 83, of Russells Point, OH, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 16, 2010, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born on December 8, 1926, in Stokes Twp, Logan Co., Ohio to the late Lester & Berylena Van Horn Taylor. On September 4, 1949, he married the former Dorothy Bowdle in the Indian Lake Community Church, Russells Point, and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by three daughters: Sue (Harry) Taylor, of Lakeview, OH, Kathy (Howard) Schwass, of Alabaster, AL, and Deb (Mel) Rotroff, of Lakeview, OH, Six grandchildren: Tonya (Kirby) Taylor, of Lake Havesue, AZ, Misty (Lou) Ross, of Russells Point, OH, Micah (Tresa) Rotroff, of Jackson Center, OH, Jon (Amber) Rotroff, of Lakeview, Miranda (Brian) Dietz, of Columbus, OH, and Robin (Ryan) Beelman, of Lewistown, OH, nine great grandchildren: Brandan Ross, Makenzie Taylor, Sieara Rotroff, Ethan Rotroff, Kailynn Rotroff, Ella Beelman, Garrison Rotroff, William Beelman, and Melanie Rotroff, two brothers: Dick (Linda) Taylor, Coldwater, MI, and Jim (Barb) Taylor, of Hallsville, Texas.
Bob attended Stokes Twp Schools before entering the U.S Army in 1945 where he served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He worked at the Lima State Hospital and Ford Engine Plant, both in Lima before moving to the Indian Lake area, where he drove bus for Indian Lake Schools where he retired. He was a member of the Indian Lake Community Church and formerly sang in the choir. He was a former member of the Loganaires and was a member of the Golden Agers. He enjoyed fishing, Bird watching, card playing, singing, playing harmonica, and telling jokes. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren.
Pastor Karen Blackburn will conduct funeral services at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Visitation is Tuesday, October 19th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Burial is in Roundhead Cemetery with military rites performed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be given in his name to the American Heart Association.
