Loving husband, father and grandfather, Glenn L. Harford, 85, of Lakeview died at 6:40 p.m. on Friday November 5, 2010 at his residence. He was born on August 30, 1925 in Logan County, Ohio to the late James F. and Rose Zella Toland Harford. On August 19, 1949 he married the former Mary Frances Zentz, and she survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Kadonna (Kenneth) Hunsberger of Wakarusa, Indiana; two sons, Lee (Sara) Harbour of DeGraff and Bob (Leena) Harford of Lakeview; grandchildren, Shantel Harbour, Missy (Joe) Wooddell, Todd (Shonna) Harbour, Greg (Tara) Hunsberger, Jeff Hunsberger, Tim Hunsberger and Danielle (Matt) Meeker; great grandchildren, Mason and Colin Harbour, Ashton Wooddell, Wiley Harbour, Mitchell and Monica Hunsberger, Jordan Meeker, Taylor and Evan Varvel; a brother, Archie Harford of Forest, Ohio; Tom and Dawon Harford and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mabel Hower, Waneta Hower and Lucretia Searfoss; and six brothers, George, Fred, Ray, John, Bob and Dickie Harford.
A WWII Army veteran, Glen had worked as a machinist for both Clark Equipment and EMI, and was a lifetime member of VFW Post #8832 in Roundhead.
Pastor Glen Gault will conduct a funeral service on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Myron L. Van Horn Chapel of the Smith-Eichholtz Funeral Home in Lakeview. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 8th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery in New Hampshire with military rites by the Logan County Honor Guard. 
Memorial contributions may be made in Glenn’s name to Universal Home Health and Hospice Care or the Logan County Veterans Service.

Franklin G. “Frank” Jacobs, 77, of Frostproof, FL, formerly of Indian Lake, OH, passed away, early Friday morning, October 29, 2010 at The Oaks at Avon, Avon Park, FL.
He was born on November 10, 1932 in Kenton, OH to the late Lester & Florence Rodgers Jacobs. He married the former Joan Pyles, and she survives. He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Sharon Chamberlin, a sister: Sharon Kay Mummey, and two brothers: Ralph Jacobs and Leonard Jacobs.
He is survived by six children: Rick (Tina) Jacobs of Huntsville, OH, Vickie Raper of Belle Center, OH, Mike (Valeri) Jacobs of Batesville, IN, Don Jacobs of Lakeview, OH, Frank (Jennifer) Jacobs of Bellefontaine, OH, and Debbie Thacker of Kenton, OH, four stepchildren: Bud Brown, Lou Allen, Becky Bought and Mandy Brown, all of Marion OH, 23 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, a sister: Donna Eaton of North Fort Myers, FL, a brother: Clarence “Jake” (Annie) Jacobs of Lakeview, OH and several nieces and nephews.
Frank was a veteran of the US National Guard. He owned and operated Jacobs & Sons Excavating, and was an excavator for over 50 years. He was a life member of Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39, Lakeview, OH. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and music.
Deacon Micah Palmer of Christ Our King Church will conduct graveside services at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Rushsylvania Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.

Helen P. Klaus, 95, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully, Monday, October 25, 2010 at her home.
She was born on August 11, 1915 in Delphos, OH to the late M. Thomas & Rosella Metzger German. On February 12, 1934, she married Ralph Klaus in Delphos and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three sons: Jon Klaus, Ron Klaus, and David Klaus and two sisters: Ethel Williams and Mary Eva Weigle.
She is survived by five children: Rosanne (Phillip) Ziegler of Upper Marlboro, MD, Mary Jean (Pete) Kahle of Brookville, OH, Donald (Linda) Klaus of Bluffton, OH, Thomas (Marikay) Klaus of Chino, CA, and Karen ((Dana) Neider of Indian Lake, OH
Helen was a graduate of Delphos St. Johns High School. She was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Russells Point, OH. Helen’s family came first. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and many sports teams especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and Atlanta Braves. She appeared on “The Price is Right” and won the showcase. She loved the outdoors and gardening. She will always be loved and missed by her family and many friends.
Per Mrs. Klaus’s wishes her body was cremated. A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m., November 6, 2010 at Delphos St. Johns Catholic Church, Delphos. Burial will take place in Delphos St. Johns Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Masses may be given to St. Johns Catholic Church, Delphos, St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, Russells Point, of St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima.

Robert W. “Bob” Knotts, 76, of Huntsville, OH, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, October 27, 2010 at Heartland of Indian Lake.
He was born on August 12, 1934, in Lancaster, OH to the late Woodrow & Hannah Wright Knotts. On June 5, 1982, he married the former Judy Coyer at the Russells Point Church of God. He was preceded in death by in-laws, Emmit & Minnie Coyer, and a special aunt, Kathryn Phuline.
Bob is survived by his wife, a daughter: Angela Knotts of Lancaster, OH, three sons: Robert (Linda) Knotts, Ric (Tonya) Knotts, and Jerry (Cindy) Knotts, all of Lancaster, OH, four stepsons: Charles Budd, of Lancaster, OH, James Budd III, Steven Budd, and Shawn Budd, all living in Florida, 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, a sister: Elizabeth Grimes of Lancaster, OH, a special friend: Ben Owen, and a cousin: Marcia Rose.
Bob owned Lancaster Grinding for 50 years and formerly owned and operated J.B Town Trolley in Huntsville, OH. He was a member of West Liberty Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and spending time with family and friends.
Pastors Bonnie Reprogle and Ron Irick will conduct a Celebration of Life ceremony at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview with visitation one hour prior to services.
Memorial Contribution may be given in his name to the West Liberty Church of God or Wilson Hospice Care, Sidney, OH.

Sueann Jeanette (Schaffer) Dieker, 67, of Indian Lake, OH, passed away peacefully after a long battle with breast cancer, Saturday, October 30, 2010 at her home.
She was born on June 8, 1943, in Dayton, OH to the late Rev. John W. & Mary E. Wagoner Schaffer. On August 30, 1968, she married John A. Dieker at the Oak Street Methodist Church in Dayton, OH and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Sue Dieker, grandchildren: John A. Dieker III, and Hannah Suedel Tackett, and a sister, R. Evelyn Hampton.
She is survived by a daughter: Susan (Gene) Tackett of Indian Lake, OH, two sons: Jeffrey A. Dieker of Indian Lake, OH, and Jonathan A. (Suzanne) Dieker of Indianapolis, IN, two stepsons: Douglas Dieker and James Dieker, both of Denver, CO, four grandchildren: Christian & Alex Dieker, and Skyler & Emma Tackett, two sisters: Mary Marcielle Gibbs of Fairborn, OH, and Jane Konz of Piqua, OH.
Sueann was a 1963 graduate of Belmont High School, Dayton, OH, and 1965 graduate of Dayton School of Practical Nursing. 
She retired from Heartland of Bellefontaine in 2004 after 40 years as an LPN working at many different levels enjoying the many friends she made. 
She always enjoyed working with children with mental and physical disabilities. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking and baking cookies, watching soccer at all levels, fishing and camping at Indian Lake and Lake Erie with her husband and children. 
She loved the Food Network, Animal Planet, and Discovery Network when she didn’t like cooking or being around people.
The biggest light in her life was her husband, John, and her children and grandchildren. They made her laugh when she was sad and she always said they were her sunshine. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, OH with visitation two hours prior to services. Burial is in Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, OH.
Memorial contributions may be given to her family.
