Sarah A. Zimmerman, 87, of Quincy, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Monday, May 28, 2012 at Heartland of Bellefontaine. She was born in Milford Center, Ohio on March 5, 1925 to the late John Ray and Hattie Esther (Disbro) Butler. On December 3, 1950 she married Allengar Eugene Zimmerman and he preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by a son, John Ray Zimmerman and a brother Aaron Butler.

She is survived by her daughter, Esther Triplett of DeGraff; six grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Tim (Eleanor) Butler of Marysville; a daughter-in-law, Veronica Lou Zimmerman of Quincy; a sister-in-law, Martha Butler of North Lewisburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and a good friend Lillian.

A homemaker, Sarah was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Quincy.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Quincy with Rev. Bob Long officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 30th from 4-8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Quincy.
